Because times seem to be pretty tough right now, I am surprised that more consumers aren’t asking their local wedding band and wedding ring retailers to see more products created with palladium. Palladium is the perfect metal choice if you are looking for a naturally white metal, but platinum is not an option. Personally, I’d go with platinum for my wedding band or wedding ring strictly because it is a metal that will potentially last a lifetime. But that may not be in the cards for many of the future brides and grooms getting married today. And I often hear some of today’s independent jewelers complaining that they can’t sell platinum because of the price – although gold really isn’t that far behind (as of July 2, 2009, there is less than a $200 difference between the market value of each metal). So if price dictates a wedding band or wedding ring sale, then wouldn’t be logical to learn about and invest in the one metal that still precious, but currently costs less than white gold (which isn’t naturally white)? I certainly think so. Yet many wedding band and wedding ring manufacturers have stopped or cut down with promoting their palladium merchandise. In my opinion – it makes no sense to me.
Brides.com currently features a palladium wedding ring created by American wedding band and wedding ring manufacturer Novell. The style is known as L8055-6GC, and it is 6mm wide. You can look for an authorized Novell wedding band and wedding ring retailer in your area on Novell's website, and they can get a price or discuss manufacturing options with you. The L8055-6GC can also be specially created in platinum if you are looking for a wedding band or wedding ring made with the most precious and premium metal found on Earth.
